For anyone who has visited Prince Edward Island in the past couple of years, or for anyone who has spent a lot of time in Europe, you will have encountered roundabouts.
I remember when they first built roundabouts in Charlottetown about four years ago, they set up practice roundabouts in the mall parking lot to teach people how to drive in the roundabout. The first winter the snow plow operators had to learn how to plow the roundabouts, it was also comical to watch them try to get all of the snow out of the road.
This week’s E-Learning Heroes Challenge inspired me to look at how to use top view graphics in e-learning. The easiest example would have been to do an office or building tour, but I was looking for something a bit unique, so here is my left turn tips for roundabout driving.
This interaction incorporates animations and layers to provide an opportunity for learners to learn what to do when entering and exiting the roundabout.
