ELH#140 – Share Your Interactive ADDIE Model

This weeks E-Learning Heroes Challenge focused on the ADDIE Model. The ADDIE Model is one frequently used by instructional designers to guide the design process. The ADDIE model consists of five main phases:

  • Analyze
  • Design
  • Development
  • Implement
  • Evaluate

The ADDIE Model is flexible in nature and can be easily adapted to most e-learning projects.

This week, I choose to build an interactive timeline exploring the history of the ADDIE Model. The content is based on the information sourced from the ADDIE Timeline. It was a fairly quick interaction to build and simply uses hover states for each step of the timeline. I built one step first with both the normal and the hover state, and then simply copied this step and edited the content and colour to create the remainder of the items on the timeline. A colour theme was used to allow the colours to be quickly changed if the timeline was to be reused in another project.
